Audrey McKenzie- Audrey is a 2017 graduate of Hope College! She graduated with a major in Language Arts Elementary Education and English as a Second Language. She has spent the past three years teaching middle school math in the Dominican Republic at Santiago Christian School. She enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as traveling, writing, and being outside. Audrey is excited to be back in Michigan for the summer for her eighth year of camp living out and sharing her love for Christ.

Emma Gontjes- Emma attended Dutton Christian Elementary and Middle School, is a 2018 graduate of South Christian High School, and is going to be starting her junior year at Calvin University this fall. She is majoring in Early Childhood Education and Math. She enjoys spending time outside, hanging out with family and friends, and traveling. Emma is super excited to spend another summer working at Kids Rock Camp with such an amazing staff and kids. She is eager to share her love and passion for Christ with the kids this summer
Clayton Kruisenga- Clayton is beyond excited to be joining the Kids Rock Summer Camp team for his first time. He is a student at Grand Valley State University studying Elementary Education, and has a huge passion for serving God, playing sports, and working with kids. Clayton was formerly a middle school youth group leader for three years at his home church, and because he has taken some time off from that role, he is thrilled to be able to pour into young kids' lives once again. Summer is his favorite time of year, being that it presents so many opportunities for physical activities such as sports, swimming, hiking, fishing, and so much more. Clayton is looking forward to a summer of fun with the kids and other counselors at Camp.

Kennedy Geiger- Kennedy is a 2017 graduate from Lakewood High School. She is currently attending Calvin University and majoring in both Elementary and Special Education. She is also a member of Calvin’s softball team. In her free time Kennedy enjoys going to the beach, running, biking, and eating lots of ice cream! She has a variety of experience working with kids through volunteering, nannying, school placements, and coaching. This will be Kennedy’s first year at Kids Rock, and she is looking forward to a summer filled with lots of Jesus and joy!
Hannah Syme- Hannah is pumped for her first summer with Kids Rock Summer Camp! She attends Alma College and is studying elementary education and integrated sciences. At Alma, Hannah is a captain on the basketball team as well as a leader in the ASAP mentoring program. She also enjoys working with the sports information crew and teaching water aerobics. Hannah loves to be active and enjoys arts and craft activities. She is so excited to see what this summer has in store!
Jaymes Gontjes- Jaymes attended Dutton Christian Schools, South Christian High School, and graduated from Calvin College in 2018. He just completed his second year of teaching Social Studies at Cityside Middle School in Zeeland, MI. He enjoys coaching football and track, and playing guitar and drums in his spare time. He is excited for another awesome year at camp to continue building relationships with campers, encouraging people to know Jesus, and having a blast all summer long!
Adam Rearick- Adam is a 2020 graduate from South Christian High School. Adam did volunteer work as a leader for us for two years. He is going to be attending Grace Christian University in the fall of 2020. Adam Is a God-fearing man and is very excited to show the campers a great time by showing them who God is and what His plan for them is. He is going to be playing basketball at GCU. Sports plays a big role in Adam's life. He has played sports his whole life and has found great joy playing with kids and having fun with them. Seeing kids smile and laugh brings great joy in Adam's heart. He is beyond excited to be at Kids Rock Summer Camp.

Justin Phillips- Justin graduated from Kent City High School. Justin then went on to Hope College where he majored in Secondary Education. Justin is teaching and coaching football at Lowell High School. When he is not doing that, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs or golfing. He has an incredible passion for working with kids and is very excited to be back for another summer at Kids Rock!
Carley Van Swol- Carley is a recent graduate from Hope College with Physical Education and Spanish majors and a minor in Health. At Hope, Carley participated in intramural sports, broadcasted sporting events, as well as being a leader with the Special Ed ministry at a local church. Last year she lived in Sevilla Spain for a semester and got the chance to see different parts of the world. She has a big heart for kids, sports, traveling, and Jesus. This is her fourth summer at camp, and she’s so excited to build relationships with the kids and have fun!
Jessica Kirchhoff- Jessica is really excited to be a part of Kids Rock for the first time this summer! She is a 2020 graduate of Grand Valley State University with majors in Elementary Education and English. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, volunteering, and going to the beach. She has a lot of experience with kids from working at daycares, babysitting, and student teaching. Jessica can't wait for a summer filled with Jesus, kids, and fun!
Lindy Rome- Lindy is a 2017 grad from Zeeland West High School and is going into her senior year at Grand Valley. She is majoring in psychology and hopes to become a Child Life Specialist! Lindy enjoys spending her weekends at the lake with her family, running around with her dog, and hanging out with her 8 year old sister! She is also very involved with Young Life at GVSU. She is so excited to hang out with all the campers this summer!
Jeremiah Kruithof- Jeremiah graduated from South Christian High School in 2016, and is a 2020 graduate from Trinity Christian College with a major in Mathematics and minors in Educational Studies and Special Education. He is back for his third year at camp, and he could not be more excited! In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, baseball, and basketball. He loves working with kids and has thoroughly enjoyed all of his student-teaching experiences, especially when he is able to share his faith in Jesus with the kids as well!
Mikayla Battjes- Mikayla is a 2016 graduate from South Christian High School and a 2020 graduate from Calvin University. At Calvin, Mikayla received a degree in both elementary and special education. In the fall, Mikayla will be working at Hudsonville Christian School as a 2nd grade teacher. She enjoys spending her free time volunteering as a Young Life leader at Grandville High School, playing tennis, going to the beach, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Mikayla is passionate about kids, Jesus, and building relationships! She cannot wait for her third summer at Kids Rock! :)
