​Chris Pifer- Chris is a 7th Grade Resource Teacher at Cityside Middle School. He has 4 daughters, 2 of which will be at Zeeland Christian next year. Chris graduated from Grand Valley State with degrees in Special Education and Elementary Education. He can't wait for another summer at camp, getting to work with kids and be a part of their walk with Christ!

Sheri Thomassen, Camp Administration - Sheri is the Operations Coordinator at Community Church in Zeeland, and in her spare time enjoys caring for their animals - a blind dog named Toby, Barbie - a beautiful blonde mini-horse, and two feisty female goats named Thelma & Louise, in addition to making sure Kids Rock parents have a great summer by helping with registrations and camp rosters.  Sheri is married to Greg; they have 5 very cool grown children, and 3 super cool  grandchildren. ​

Ben Ashby, Camp Founder - Ben Ashby is a middle school Spanish teacher at Zeeland Public Schools. He also taught elementary Spanish for 6 years.  He attended South Christian High School in Grand Rapids, MI and is a graduate of Calvin College. In his experience working as a teacher, coach, and camp counselor, he has worked with children of all ages. Ben splits his time between the Zeeland and Grand Rapids locations and is excited about sharing the love of God with the campers this summer through all of the fun activities that Kids Rock has planned. His wife Sarah was a 2nd grade teacher at Holland Christian for four years. They live in Zeeland, MI with their four boys (Eli, Isaac, Jacob & Jonah) who keep them very busy!
