Chris Pifer- Chris is excited to be back this summer as Zeeland's Site Director. He loves the opportunity to pour into kids' lives as well as helping the counselors develop as leaders. During the school year, he teaches special education at Cityside MS, as well as coaching lacrosse for Holland Christian. He has 2 little girls, Gwen and Maggie who will be 3 and 1 this summer. If he ever find any free time, he loves to go golfing or have friends over.
Josh Pry- Josh graduated from Grand Valley State University with a major in Physical Education Instruction. He is currently an Elementary math resource teacher/ paraprofessional. He is going into his fourth year working at Kids Rock Summer Camp. He enjoys having the incredible opportunity to work with children and teach them about physical activity during the summer months. Josh also enjoys playing racquetball, tennis, ultimate Frisbee and juggling. He is excited to bring his variety of skills and interests to camp for another summer!
Marc Kemme- Marc is a 2020 Zeeland East High School graduate, he plans on attending CMU in the fall to major in integrated science for secondary education. He will also get a double minor in film and theater. While in high school Marc was very involved with the Zeeland High Players, being the president for both his junior and senior year.
Tessa Borst- Tessa is currently finishing her 2nd year at Cornerstone University where she is studying Elementary Education. Tessa loves being with kids and has a passion for the education field. Some of her favorite things include being outside, spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and going to the beach. She is very excited to be at Kids Rock camp this summer!
Lauryn Rimes- Lauryn grew up in Zeeland is a graduate of Zeeland East High School. This spring, she graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a degree in Elementary Education and Spanish. She is very passionate about art, going to the beach, and kids. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is also very passionate about serving kids and very excited to help spread the love of Christ at camp this summer!
Anneliese Lockner- Anneliese graduated this May from Hope College with a BA in Elementary Education and English. She played soccer all four years at Hope and hopes to spread the love of soccer with the Kids Rock kids this summer. This August, she will be heading to Musanze Rwanda to teach first grade at Virunga Valley Academy. She will miss Lake Michigan and the Kids Rock kiddos but is so excited for what God has in store for her. Anneliese is looking forward to another summer at Kids Rock and cannot wait for another great summer with her favorite people!
Chrissa Zuber- Chrissa graduated from Zeeland East High School in 2018 and from Grand Valley State University in 2022 with a degree in Elementary Education and English. Chrissa loves to spend time outside, go for runs, and go to the beach with friends. She loves all things arts and crafts and enjoys drawing in her free time. She is very passionate about working and spending time with kids and is very excited to teach them more about the love of Jesus Christ. She is super excited to be coming back to Kids Rock Summer Camp for her second year!
Abi Ediger- Abi is excited to return for her 6th year of camp as the Zeeland Site Director! She loves supporting the counselor staff and making sure that all campers and families have a great camp experience! Abi is a GVSU grad with a degree in Special Education. During the school year, she is a 4th/5th grade teacher at a regional center for students with Emotional Impairments in Wyoming, MI. In her free time Abi likes to rollerblade, read, cook out with friends, play pickle-ball with camp staff, and go to the beach. Abi also enjoys running youth basketball camps for a local high school. Camp is one of Abi’s favorite places to be and she’s looking forward to another summer filled with fun!
Abby Helder- Abby is excited to return back to camp this summer. Kids Rock Summer Camp is one of her favorite places! At camp, she loves building relationships with campers, participating in and planning fun activities, and growing closer to Jesus. When she's not at camp she enjoys being with her friends and family, hiking, traveling, and going to the beach. During the school year, Abby teaches Kindergarten at Byron Center Christian.
TJ Mckenzie- Tj will be a senior at Hope College this fall. He is a composite major meaning he majors in Education, Psychology, and Communications, Tj is a part of the Men's Basketball team and the Football team at Hope College, Tj is in sports year-round but in his free time he being around people and hanging out with his friends, Tj is excited to spend his summer working and helping with Kids Rock this summer and can't wait to get started.
Micah Kool- Micah grew up in Holland and attended Holland Christian through high school. After graduating Micah attended GVSU and got a bachelors degree in Physical Education with minors in health and history. He has been coaching football and lacrosse at the high school level for 13 years and is in his second year teaching at Holland Christian grades K-6. In his free time Micah is looking to do anything active. Whether it is hiking a new place or playing a sport, he likes to always be on the move. Micah also enjoys traveling, going new places and experiencing new things. His favorite spot is the pacific NW and tries to get out there every couple of years while sprinkling in new mountains to climb, rivers to kayak and places to explore.
Tori Roskamp- Tori is going to be a junior at Calvin University. She is a Psychology and Recreational Therapy major. She plays volleyball and basketball on the Calvin women’s teams. Tori’s family consists of her parents and older twin sisters. Tori loves to travel to new places and try new things. One of Tori’s favorite places to travel is Arizona because it’s full of gorgeous natural scenery. When Tori graduates, she wants to go to graduate school to be a school counselor.
Calvin Hackert- Calvin Hackert is a Hope College graduate and is finishing up his first year of teaching at Coopersville High School. This past year, he taught physical education and coached the freshman boys basketball team at Coopersville. Cal also played 4 years of varsity basketball for the Hope College Flying Dutchmen. This will be his 4th consecutive summer at Kids Rock, and he cannot wait to get back! He absolutely loves working with kids and feels that he has a calling on his life to teach and impact kids through the path of education and summer camps!
Jake Andringa- Jake grew up in Holland where he attended Borculo Christian and Unity Christian High School. He went on to Calvin College where he got a degree in secondary education and history. During the school year, he teaches middle school social studies at Jenison Christian School. Jake enjoys backpacking, biking, video games and diving into a good book. He is excited to meet new people and have a ton of fun this year at Kids Rock Summer Camp!
